What started as a writing hobby of poems in high school turned into short stories that won Saria some global seminars and workshops such as Between the Lines with The University of Iowa. During the revolution and the war, Saria wrote personal reflections and documentation from what they witnessed that they used later on, along with research to publish about Syria, the diasporic state, and queerness. Saria also translated numerous texts and wrote press releases and communication strategies for many projects. Saria also worked for years in writing for stage, mainly sketch comedy, but also some long-form monologues and short plays.
